IBM and Together AI Sign Multi-Year Agreement to Scale Open-Source AI Inference with NVIDIA AI Infrastructure on IBM Cloud
IBM has announced a multi-year, two hundred forty million dollar agreement with Together AI to deploy a massive cluster of NVIDIA HGX B300 systems on the IBM Cloud. Scheduled for availability in early 2027, this initiative represents the first large-scale dedicated inference cluster utilizing NVIDIA Spectrum-X Ethernet networking on IBM’s platform. Together AI plans to leverage this high-performance infrastructure to deliver fast, economical open-source model inference capabilities to global enterprises. By combining IBM’s hybrid cloud environment with NVIDIA hardware, the partnership aims to optimize token economics and accelerate the adoption of real-time artificial intelligence services across critical industries. This collaboration underscores the surging demand for robust, scalable AI infrastructure as corporations increasingly transition from experimental pilot projects to heavy production workflows.
